Sierra H Broadcasting has announced the appointment of John Candelaria as Program Director of Phoenix rimshot Hip Hop “101.1 The Beat” KNRJ Cordes Lakes and Rhythmic AC “Mega 104.3” KAJM Camp Verde AZ.
Candelaria was most recently Operations Manager and Program Director of Beasley Media Classic Hip-Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC, Adult R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK Detroit and Gospel “Detroit Praise Network” until stepping down in March. Prior to going to Detroit in March 2018, Candelaria spent six years as OM/PD for Las Vegas market Rhythmic AC “Old School 105.7” KOAS Dolan Springs AZ and Hot AC “Star 107.9” KVGS Meadview AZ as well as morning host at KOAS. He has also served as OM/PD for Radio One’s stations in Dallas, programmed KPRR El Paso and served as Regional Program Director for Clear Channel in multiple West Texas markets.
Candelaria will succeed Fred Rico who steps down to spend more time with his family. Rico has previously programmed in Honolulu, San Diego and Tucson.
