Griffin Communications Country 98.5 KVOO Tulsa have announced the addition of Tige Rodgers and Daniel Baker for mornings.
Most recently hosting afternoons at “The Big 98” WSIX Nashville and tracking nights to multiple iHeartMedia stations until their exits in January’s layoffs, Tige and Daniel will join incumbent morning host Amber Glaze. The duo have also worked at WGTR Myrtle Beach and WTQR Greensboro.
Is this just the first of multiple changes a KVOO? We reported yesterday on a couple domains tied to a potential rebranding of the station.
Tige Rodgers and Daniel Baker will be shaking up mornings in Tulsa this December when they join Amber Glaze and 98.5 KVOO.
Rodgers and Baker, more commonly known as Tige & Daniel, have been working together to play music, talk and attempt comedy since they met after graduating from Auburn University. Their award-winning work has been syndicated nationally as well as heard locally on WGTR in Myrtle Beach, WTQR in Greensboro and most recently on WSIX in Nashville.
“We are so excited to be moving to Tulsa and can’t wait to get started,” said Tige & Daniel. “Tulsa has such an amazing country music history and scene that we’re looking forward to being a part of. We’re profoundly grateful to Griffin Communications for this amazing opportunity and we’re thrilled to be alongside Amber as hosts of the legendary KVOO. We’ll try not to blow it!”
The Tige and Daniel Show is known for mixing great music with laugh out loud commentary and signature bits like Sensual Shoutouts, Me So Corny and Tiny Couch Interviews in which Tige and Daniel interview folks on a couch made for only two but all three are made to squeeze in.
