VCY America has purchased the three stations owned by Ed Stolz that had been placed in court ordered receivership headed by Larry Patrick earlier this year due to a lawsuit brought on by ASCAP and sixteen other music copyright holders.
VCY America will acquire Golden State Broadcasting CHR “Rev 92.7” KREV Alameda/San Francisco, Major Market Radio LLC’s 97.7 KRCK-FM Mecca/Palm Springs, and Silver State Broadcasting’s “104.3 Now” KFRH North Las Vegas for $6 million. San Francisco and Las Vegas will become two of the larger markets that the Milwaukee based VCY America’s Christian Preaching network is heard in along with Phoenix.

Even though it looks like VCY still had plenty of money from its repack-related spectrum sale, I’m a bit surprised that EMF didn’t end up with at least KFRH. Consequently, SOS should be somewhat relived by this.
