Radio One Hip Hop “iPower 92.1/104.1” WCDX Mechanicvsille/Richmond and W281AW Petersburg VA have announced the addition of Alvin ‘Big Nat’ Smalls as evening host.
Big Nat joins WCDX from Audacy’s crosstown “106.5 The Beat” WBTJ Richmond where he served as Music Director/midday host since 2007. While WBTJ was owned by iHeartMedia he also tracked afternoons at “103 Jamz” WOWI Norfolk and nights at “95.7 The Beat” WBTP Tampa. He began his career at Radio One’s then “Hot 99.3” WRHH Petersburg in 2001.
Radio One Richmond is proud to welcome back veteran radio personality, BIG Nat to its urban format, WCDX, iPower 92.1/104.1.
The Big Nat Show will debut on the airwaves, Monday, June 21st at 7 p.m. Listeners will be able to hear the show Monday-Friday from 7 p.m. to Midnight.

Over the past 20 years, Big Nat has attracted an impressive and loyal following in the Richmond market as a distinguished radio personality. His voice has been heard all across the country as a former jock with iHeartMedia’s Premium Choice national programming format and has had number 1 rated, midday radio shows in Richmond, Virginia Beach and Tampa, FL. Big Nat is, also, no stranger to the Radio One Richmond family. He started his radio career in 2001 on HOT 99.3 which is now WKJM/WKJS 99.3/105.7 KISS FM.
