After seven years in mornings at Cox Media Group CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI St. Petersburg/Tampa FL, Miguel Fuller and Holly O’Connor announced their departure from the station.
Fuller and O’Connor joined WPOI in March 2015 from “Island 106” WILN Panama City. The duo previously worked in Tampa in mornings at CBS Radio Hot AC “Play 98.7” WSJT in 2011 and 2012 with current WWMX Baltimore morning host Steve Kramer as well as a previous stint at WILN.
In making the announcement, O’Connor stated, ““It’s time for us to pull back and focus on us a little bit. Our dreams and our goals are constantly evolving and much like we always encourage you to do, it’s time for us to leap. We are jumping into our future, Miguel and I, into the unknown – hoping against all odds that you know how much we love you.”
Fuller added, “When we interviewed for this job… I said, I want Holly and I to be on the Hot 101.5 signal until they shove us into Shady Acres But my life is different, my passions are different. My heart is different. And I’m ready for the next adventure.”
Morning show producer/midday host Scott ‘Scotty the Body’ Tavlin will remain with the station.
