Lotus Broadcasting sells two of its California AMs to Baaz Broadcasting Corp.
Baaz will acquire Spanish Sports “Tu Liga Radio” 1490 KWAC Bakersfield for $300,000 and Brokered Ethnic “Multicultural 1600” KGST Fresno for $850,000. Mohan Cheema and Sukhdev Singh Dhillon’s company is also in the process of acquiring 1680 KNTS Seattle and are principles in eight other stations including Akal Broadcasting’s 1210 KQEQ Fowler/Fresno and XL Media’s 660 KGSV Oildale/Bakersfield.
David Colvin and Carolyn Lundy’s Simply Cool Radio LLC will purchase Country 100.9 WLSK and Oldies 1590 WLBN/106.5 W293DG Lebanon KY from Choice Radio Central Corporation for $196,078.43. Colvin is currently a minority owner and serves as General Manager of the stations as well as morning host on WLSK. A Time Brokerage Agreement took effect on August 10.
Carter Broadcasting Corporations sells Silent 730 WACE Chicopee/Springfield MA to Holy Family Communications for $200,000.
Tom Kennedy will acquire the 79.6% stake in Bond Broadcasting and its Country 101.7 WGEL and 103.9 W280DR Greenville IL that he currently does not own from John and Eleanor Kennedy for $440,000.
Omni Broadcasting acquires “Fox Sports 1490” WTKE Milton/Pensacola FL from Camax Communication Group for $40,000. Omni began a new Time Brokerage Agreement on July 25.
Steven and Lisa Evans will acquire Country Gold Broadcasting from David Barton for $320,000. Country Gold owns Variety Hits “92.5 Jack-FM” KCUA Maeser and Classic Country “Real Country” 1250 KNEU/93.5 K228FR Roosevelt UT.
Truth Media sells the CP for 89.3 WNBA Milledgeville GA to Community Public Radio for the forgiveness of the money advanced to gain the CP in last year’s filing window.
