Magnum Media has flipped Oldies 1350 WEZY Portage WI and its two translators 96.9 W245DQ Waunakee and 102.1 W271DQ Baraboo to Rock “WAUNa Rock“.
Soon to adopt WAUN call letters, the branding is pronounced Wau-nah to emphasize the calls and to sound like “Wanna Rock”. The flip matches the company’s recent change at WFAW Fort Atkinson WI including the addition of Premiere Networks’ The Woody Show in mornings.
The Wisconsin Dells/Baraboo area served by the station previously did not have a Rock based format, mostly served by rimshot signals from Madison.
The WEZY call letters will be moved to newly acquired sister AC 105.7 WCFW Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire to match its new “105.7 WEZY” branding.
