After being let go from Beasley Tampa in the company’s October layoffs, Travis Daily is heading to Salt Lake City as PD/afternoon host at Cumulus Media Country “93.3 The Bull” KUBL.
Daily joined Beasley Tampa in April 2018 as Operations Manager and PD of Country 99.5 WQYK. He previously spent 17 years at Clear Channel/iHeartMedia spending five as OM/PD/Morning Host at “Y96.9” KCCY Pueblo/Colorado Springs before heading to Tampa in 2005 to launch “US 103.5” WFUS. In 2016 he was promoted to Senior VP/Programming overseeing the company’s Sarasota and Tampa clusters until his exit in October 2017.
KUBL rebranded from “K-Bull 93” to “93.3 The Bull” over the summer. Daily fills the programming slot that had been held by Travis Moon until his move to Cox Houston as Director of Operations in April.
Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Travis Daily as Program Director of Salt Lake City Country radio station, 93.3 The Bull/KUBL-FM. Daily brings decades of Country programming experience to the award-winning station. He was most recently Operations Manager for Beasley Media Group in Tampa, FL, and was Program Director for Tampa Country station WQYK-FM. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia in Tampa and Program Director for Tampa Country station WFUS-FM. Daily was also Operations Manager and Program Director for Country station KCCY-FM in Colorado Springs, CO.
Patrick Reedy, Regional Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Salt Lake City, said: “We cast the net far and wide to find the type of person that loves a competitive battle, thinks strategically, and knows how to have fun. We hit the trifecta with Travis.”
Chris Hoffman, Operations Manager, Cumulus Salt Lake City, commented: “Finding just the right candidate to guide the evolution of 93.3 The Bull has been an exhaustive search. In Travis Daily, we found everything we were looking for. I can’t wait for him to get started.”
Travis Daily remarked: “The quality of people you work with is very important. Getting the chance to join a team that includes Patrick Reedy, Chris Hoffman, John Dimick and Brian Philips is not only beyond exciting, but humbling that they would trust me to be the new PD of KUBL. I’m glad to be headed back to the mountains and to the West, where I belong.”
