After cutting back to three days per week last August, Howard Simon will step down as morning host at Audacy Sports 550 WGR Buffalo NY on Friday, March 3.
Simon has hosted mornings at WGR since 2004 and has worked in the market since 1989 with stints at 1440 WJJL, 930 WBEN and Empire Sports Network. The Brooklyn native attended college in Buffalo then began his career with stints in ELmira NY and Toledo OH. In a blog post on WGR’s website Simon wrote, “I’ve been very lucky to have worked alongside some wonderful people at WJJL, WBEN, Empire Sports Network and finally at WGR. I wish I could list everyone by name but that isn’t possible. Let me just say thank you, thank you, thank you to my many co-workers over the years. I’ve made some great, lifelong friendships while getting a chance to do something I truly loved.”
Simon’s co-host Jeremy White and producer Joe DiBiase will remain in mornings.
