Desert Valley Media Group Rhythmic CHR “Power 98.3/96.1” KKFR Mayer/K241BQ Fort McDowell/Phoenix has announced the appointment of Jonathan Steele as Program Director.
Steele comes to KKFR from American General Media Albuquerque where he has served as Program Director of Hip Hop “Kiss 97.3” KKSS and Hot AC “Mix 105.1” KKRG-FM since last May. He has also programmed Hip Hop WAMO Pittsburgh, “Loud 102.3” WLOA Youngstown, CHR “94.7 Hits-FM” WYUL Chateaugay NY/Montreal and CHR “98.5 Kiss-FM” WPIA Peoria, as well as APD/afternoon host of Beasley Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC Detroit and on-air at WHIZ-FM Zanesville OH and WNGY Peoria.
Steele fills the PD slot that had been held by Ben ‘DJ Complex’ Romero until his exit last month.
Desert Valley Media Group’s CHR, POWER 98.3 & 96.1 (KKFR-FM) has added veteran programmer Jonathan Steele as Program Director and Brand Manager beginning March 20th.
Steele was most recently in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was the Operations Director for American Media’s cluster. Prior, Steele held positions at Beasley Broadcasting in Detroit where he held various management roles as well as on-air duties. Steele also worked for Martz Communications in Pittsburgh as the Program director for their rhythmic CHR WAMO.
