Longtime Townsquare Media CHR “Q97.9” WJBQ Portland ME morning hosts Jeff Parsons and Lori Voornas are moving to AC 94.9 WHOM Mount Washington NH/Portland starting Monday, May 15.
Parsons has been part of WJBQ since the brand launched in November 1996 and has hosted mornings since 1998. Voornas joined the station and morning show in 1999. The duo were teamed with Meredith Manning until 2016 and were later joined by Lou Lockwood and Brittany Rose.
WJBQ will announce its new morning show on Thursday, May 11.
Lori and Jeff will succeed Chantel Toomajanian on WHOM. Chantel took over mornings in April 2022 and was let go from the station last week. She joined WHOM from Audacy Hot AC “Mix 105.1” WOMX Orlando where she served as morning show producer and midday host. The Boston native also served as a programming assistant and fill-in host at “Mix 104.1” WWBX Boston and programmed Emerson University’s 88.9 WERS.
Townsquare Media today announced longtime Portland morning show stars Lori Voornas and Jeff Parsons will take over as hosts of the Adult Contemporary 94.9FM WHOM morning show effective May 15, 2023.

Voornas says, “I’ve always joked my ultimate goal in radio was to take over the world. This gets me one step closer! I can’t wait to share my excitement with a brand-new audience.”
Parsons adds, “I’ll always have fond memories of the 26 years I spent on Q97.9, but the time is right to take the next step to WHOM. The best part is, I’m still working with all the same people I have been, including Lori.”
WHOM has been Portland’s leading Adult Contemporary station since January,1990. A new morning show for WJBQ will be announced soon.
