With the move today of Country “107.3 KAZ” WKAZ-FM Miami/Charleston WV to 680 WKAZ/95.3 W237AZ Charleston, WVRC Media has announced the next step of its cluster realignment.
Rhythmic CHR “98.7 The Beat” WRVZ Pocatalico will upgrade from its Class A signal to the larger Class B signal of 107.3 on Monday, July 10. The new “107.3 The Beat” will continue to feature DeDe In The Morning and Program Director Woody Woods in afternoons.
The company has yet to announce plans for the 98.7 signal, which will take on new call letters of WCST-FM on July 10.
WRVZ ranked eighth in the Charleston market with a 5.2 share in Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings, as it flanks sister AC “V100” WVAF against Bristol Broadcasting CHR “Electric 102.7” WVSR.
