Audacy is excited to announce “Hip-Hop Made: The Countdowns,” a special programming series in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. This series of one-hour Top 10 countdown shows will run each Saturday across 35 Urban, Throwback, Rhythmic AC and Top 40 stations and nationwide on the Audacy app.
Audacy on-air hosts will guide listeners through the first 50 years of Hip-Hop, presenting a curated selection of the genre’s most influential songs and showcasing the talent and diverse styles that have shaped the Hip-Hop landscape.
At the culmination of the series, Audacy will present “Hip-Hop Made: The 50 Greatest Songs of the Past 50 Years,” a long-form countdown show hosted by Audacy nationally syndicated host Ed Lover. This special show will air on August 11, 50 years after the birth of Hip-Hop in the Bronx, and feature a selection of the most iconic and groundbreaking songs that have shaped the history of Hip-Hop.

July 8: “Top 10 Songs by Female Emcees” hosted by 94.7 The Block’s Miss Jones
July 15: “Top 10 Party Songs” hosted by rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot
July 22: “Top 10 Collabs” hosted by 94.7 The Block’s Cipha Sounds
July 29: “Top 10 Songs by Groups” hosted by 94.7 The Wave’s Greg Mack
