Former iHeartMedia “Rock 95.5” WCHI-FM Chicago morning co-host Abe Kanan is joining Audacy’s “98 Rock” KRXQ Sacramento as afternoon host.
Kanan most recently served as co-host of the “Angi Taylor Show” on WCHI-FM from its launch in October 2020 until exiting last July. Kanan previously spent ten months in mornings at Cumulus Media Rock “X93.9” WNDX Indianapolis in 2019/20 and also hosted weekends/fill-ins at Alternative 101.1 WKQX Chicago before being a victim of the company’s COVID related cuts. He also previously worked at WLUP Chicago, WIIL Kenosha WI, WDYL Richmond, WBGG Miami and hosted a weekly show on SiriusXM’s “Howard 101”.
At KRXQ, Kanan fills the afternoon show slot that was created when The Bailey Show moved to mornings last July after just four months in afternoons.
Audacy appoints Abe Kanan as the afternoon host of 98 Rock (KRXQ-FM) in Sacramento. “The Abe Kanan Show” will air on weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT beginning January 10.

Kanan most recently co-hosted mornings on Rock 95.5 (WCHI-FM) in Chicago. With over 22 years of experience, he was the voice of “The Abe Kanan Show” on SiriusXM Howard 101, as well as a radio personality for Q101 (WKQX-FM) and K-Love (previously The Loop 97.9) (WLUP-FM) in Chicago, Big 105.9 (WBGG-FM) in Miami and 93.9X (WNDX-FM) Indianapolis.
