Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with Day 1 markets New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

All the numbers can be found at RadioInsight.com/Ratings.


The ongoing lawsuit between Cumulus Media and Nielsen means that Cumulus Media’s stations are no longer publicly listed in the ratings.

Audacy is no longer listing its streaming numbers separate from the broadcast, with the signals once again combined into one share.

New York

1010 WINS All News 92.3 WINS-FM New YorkAudacy News 1010 WINS/92.3 WINS-FM rises 6.2 to 7.5 to end the 41 survey streak for iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW at the top of the market. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that the 7.5 share is the first time 92.3 leads the market since Summer 1982 as Dance CHR WKTU and is the largest share for the WINS brand and News format since Spring 1968. WLTW, which had led the New York market in every monthly since December 2022 is down 12.5 to 7.0. Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ dips 5.6 to 5.4 with its stream up 1.2 to 1.5. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM is up 4.6 to 5.3. Public News/Talk 93.9 WNYC-FM rises 4.4 to 5.1 to tie for fifth with iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ which dips 5.3 to 5.1.

iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ jumps 3.4 to 4.3. Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM leaps 2.7 to 3.9 for its best share since May 2019.

The Hip Hop morning show shuffle at WQHT and WXBK in December, helps iHeartMedia’s “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM rise 2.9 to 4.0 for its best share since August 2019. MediaCo’s “Hot 97” WQHT is up 2.8 to 3.1, while Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “94.7 The Block” WXBK is up 1.4 to 1.7.

iHeartMedia Hot AC 103.5 WKTU climbs 3.1 to 3.7. SBS Spanish AC “Amor 93.1” WPAT-FM slides 2.9 – 2.5 – 2.0. Univision Spanish CHR “X96.3” WXNY-FM slips 1.7 to 1.4 for its lowest share since October 2009 in its first month on the frequency.

Los Angeles

93.1 Jack-FM KCBS-FM Losa AngelesiHeartMedia AC 103.5 KOST maintains its lead down 13.3 to 6.3. Audacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH inches up 5.6 to 5.7. iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG is up 5.1 to 5.3. Audacy Variety Hits “93.1 Jack-FM” KCBS-FM gains 3.9 to 4.4. Audacy News 1070 KNX/97.1 KNX-FM is up 4.1 to 4.3.

SBS Regional Mexican “97.9 La Raza” KLAX jumps 3.3 to 4.2. Univision Regional Mexican “La Nueva 101.9” KSCA trends up 2.8 – 3.0 – 3.9.

iHeartMedia Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR rises 3.1 to 3.8. Audacy’s 106.7 KROQ inches up 3.3 to 3.4.

iHeartMedia News/Talk 640 KFI dips 3.3 – 3.1 – 2.9.

Newsradio 780 WBBM 105.9 WCFS ChicagoAudacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS moves up to the top spot in Chicago 4.8 – 5.1 – 5.9. Hubbard Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX jumps up 4.2 to 5.5. Audacy AAA 93.1 WXRT climbs 4.5 to 5.4 for its best share since July 2023. iHeartMedia AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT resets 12.4 to 5.2. Nexstar Talk 720 WGN is up 4.6 to 4.8.

Hubbard Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV gains 4.0 to 4.6. Audacy Country “US 99” WUSN is up 3.3 to 4.0. iHeartMedia CHR “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC rises 2.6 – 2.8 – 3.2. Weigel Broadcasting Soft Oldies “87.7 MeTV-FM” WRME-LD is up 2.1 to 2.6.

In its final monthly, Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “104.3 Jams” WBMX is off 2.1 to 1.9. Gold CHR “B96” WBBM-FM holds at a 2.1 share. iHeartMedia Hip Hop 107.5 WGCI inches up 1.6 to 1.7.

Dallas/Fort Worth

Mix 102.9 KDMX Dallas Now Billy The Kid Kidd CandiceWith the Cumulus stations no longer listed, iHeartMedia Hot AC “Mix 102.9” KDMX holds the top spot inching up 4.4 to 4.5. iHeart AC “Star 102.1” KDGE (down 10.1 to 4.4) and CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS (steady at 4.2) follow. Audacy Alternative “Alt 103.7” KVIL is up 3.2 – 3.6 – 3.9. Audacy Variety Hits “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK is up 3.4 to 3.8.

Public News/Talk 90.1 KERA-FM climbs 2.8 to 3.4. Audacy Classic Hits “98.7 The Spot” KSPF is up 2.6 to 3.1.

Service Broadcasting Adult R&B “105.7 Smooth R&B” KRNB-FM slides 3.4 – 3.1 – 2.9. Radio One Hip Hop “97.9 The Beat” KBFB is down 2.3 to 1.7.

Audacy News 1060 KYW/103.9 WPHI leaps 3.6 to 6.6 for what Huff notes is its best share since April 2020 (plus 1.3 from stream in Holiday 2026) tying for third with Beasley Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK as it is up 5.9 to 6.6. iHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM rises 5.3 to 5.7.
