As Pete McKenzie and Heather Ford depart mornings at iHeartMedia Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX Boston, former “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM morning host Rich Shertenlieb will join the station to take over the daypart.
Shertenlieb shared a video with the following statement, “Boy oh boy are there a lot of things we need to talk about the least of which including how non-competes are the worst and should be totally illegal but also about how much l’ve missed you and how l’ve worked every day over the last several months to put together this show and great group of co-hosts well not every day because there were some days when I went to the movies by myself because no one in my family wanted to see Dune 2 which was a quality film but I prefer the David Lynch version with Sting and the guy with pus boils all over his face hey how about them Celtics.”
Shertenlieb hosted mornings with Fred Toucher at WBZ-FM from its launch in 2009 until last November after previously hosting afternoons and mornings at Rock 104.1 WBCN. The duo had previously worked at Alternative “99X” WNNX Atlanta where Shertenlieb served as morning show producer. He also was a producer on the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show.
