Yavapai Broadcasting flipped AAA “100.One” KVNA=FM Flagstaff AZ to Gold based AC “Peak 100.1“.
Described as “a musical journey through the best of the ’80s, ’90s, and now!”, the station is focusing on pop hits from the 80s through 2000s with some recent hits. The songs heard in our brief sampling of the station included La Bouche “Sweet Dreams”, Ace of Base “All The She Wants”, Tom Petty “I Won’t Back Down”, Rihanna “Only Girl (In The World)”, Naked Eyes “Always Something There To Remind Me”, Sabrina Carpenter “Espresso”, and OMD “If You Leave”.
Yavapai Broadcasting Operations Manager Bryan James said, “This format change reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping our stations fresh and engaging for our listeners. The Peak 100.1 adds a vibrant new presence to our lineup while staying true to our mission of fostering strong community connections.”
The move marks the end of the decade old AAA format on the frequency as well as translators 92.1 K221GL Prescott and 93.3 K227AP Cottonwood. Bekah Bonner, who recently joined sister CHR “Q102.9” KQST as morning co-host, will also host afternoons on KVNA-FM.
