Cumulus Media has launched a new live overnight show on its 47 Country stations.
“The Overnight Ride” hosted by Justin Franiak will air from 12-5am weekdays from the Music Row studios of “103.3 Country” WKDF Nashville. Franiak joins Cumulus from weekends/fill-ins at Beasley Media Country 92.5 WXTU Philadelphia. He previously had co-hosted mornings at Beasley AC “Mix 99.5” WJBR Wilmington DE until that station was sold in October 2023. Franiak began his career at Sports 94.1 WIP Philadelphia as a promotions/stunt guy and has also held on-air positions at WHDL/WPIG Olean NY and Townsquare Media Binghamton NY.
Franiak commented, “Moving to Nashville has always been a goal of mine and I am very appreciative that Cumulus Media has provided me the opportunity to come to Music City. Being live in studio and taking calls from around the country is extremely exciting. I am pumped to share my life and become part of the “Third Shifters” routine as well as give our listeners a deeper connection to the artists that make Country music great.”
Cumulus Media VP/Country Travis Daily said, “Having the only live Country overnight show gives the third shifters a radio show to not only connect with, but that they love to call in and participate in. If you listen to the show, you will hear that Justin is already becoming a good friend to everyone from Emergency Responders on call to the clerk at the overnight truck stop, to the actual truck drivers hauling goods across America while the rest of us sleep.”
“The Overnight Ride” fills the overnight slot that had been held by “PickleJar Up All Night” hosted by Patrick Thomas that ceased production in late 2024.
