Star City Broadcasting flipped Country “Y95” WYCM Attica/Lafayette IN to Soft Oldies “MeTV Music 95.7” today.
The company carries the MeTV television network on WPBY 35.2. The station focuses on music from the 1960s through early 80s. The station will carry MeTV-FM’s benchmark features including the “Back-To-Back Snack” at 3pm playing two versions of the same song by different artists, the “Timeless and Memorable One Hit Wonder” at 1pm, and TV themes at 11:15am and 7:15pm.
General Manager Sabrina Israel said, “Star City Broadcasting is truly excited to bring MeTV FM to the Greater Lafayette area on 95.7 WYCM. This rare format will fill a hole in the market as it features a uniquely appealing mix of familiar songs from several decades of popular music.”
WYCM’s Country format had featured Compass Media Networks’ Big D & Bubba in mornings. Program Director/midday host Brandon ‘B Adams’ had exited in December. The flip leaves Saga’s 105.1 WKOA as the only Country station in the market.
