Signal Hill Media Partners has combined its two Classic Country stations in Western North Carolina into one.
“96.1 The Bear” 1350 WZGM Black Mountain/96.1 W241DD Asheville is now simulcasting “Bigfoot Country” 1250 WBRM/103.9 W280F Marion. WZGM morning host Andee continues on as does the “Carolina Swap Shop” from 10-11am.
Station representative Sal Campo told The Valley Echo, “Under the Bigfoot Country brand, we have the ability to broadcast to listeners from Valdese to Candler, so bringing the Black Mountain station into that really connects everything. We still have that same local feel and focus, which reflects in our programming.”
Signal Hill Media Partners also operates Classic Country 550 WAME/92.9 W225BD Statesville and “Pure Country“ 590 WCAB/100.9 W265DW Rutherfordton NC.
