Media One Group shifted AC “Lite Mix 97.1” WREO Ashtabula OH to Classic Hits on Friday, May 23.
Now branding as just “Mix 97.1“, the station is positioning as “The North Coast’s Best Mix” playing music from the 1960s through 1990s. The new format does place the station closer to sister Oldies “Magic 102.5” WZOO-FM Edgewood and soon-to-be sold “Gold 93.7” WQGR North Madison.
WREO had moved from Hot AC “Mix 97.1” to Soft AC in September 2021.
