iHeartMedia Hip Hop “96.1 The Beat” WRDG Atlanta has announced the promotion of afternoon host Sean ‘Ferrari’ Simmons to Assistant Program Director.
Simmons will report to Program Director Vladimir Scott responsible for “supporting on-air talent with coaching and development to elevate performance and overseeing station imaging and production to ensure a consistent and high-quality sound”.
Simmons joined then “105.3 The Beat” in October 2023 after previously spending five years at Core Communicators Hip Hop “Streetz 94.5” WWSZ as evening co-host and afternoon host from 2017 to 2022. After starting his career at Streetz, Simmons also spent time as a producer and host at “V103” WVEE from 2015-16. He also co-hosts the Baller Alert Show podcast and spent nine months as National Director of Lifestyle & Mixshow Promotion for Warner Records.
