Audacy Hot AC “The New 96.5” WTDY-FM Philadelphia is changing its on-air lineup starting Monday, June 16.
Michael Bennett, who has been with the station for twelve years through its various incarnations, will move to afternoons after four years in mornings. During his tenure at the station through its Rhythmic “Wired 96.5“, CHR “96.5 Amp Radio“, AC “Today’s 96.5“, CHR “96.5 TDY“, and “The New 96.5” brands, Bennett has spent time in mornings, middays and afternoons.
Bennett shared, “The last four years have been an absolute dream. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished — consistently one of the most listened-to morning shows in Philly! Being part of your morning routine has truly meant the world to me. I just signed a new 3-year deal, and starting Monday, I’ll be bringing the exact same show to weekdays from 2–7pm. Even more exciting: I’ll also be doing the show in a few other markets (more on that soon)! Today also marks my 12th anniversary with the station — and this new contract will take me through year 15.”
With Bennett taking afternoons, afternoon host Mike Adam will slide up to middays replacing KMXB Las Vegas’ Heather Collins. Adam remains in afternoons on WNEW New York and WWMX Baltimore.
The station has not yet announced its new morning show, but with KYKY St. Louis’ “Bret Mega Show” announcing its upcoming national expansion this week, a launch in Philadelphia now seems likely.
