Hope Media Group, the parent operator of Christian AC’s 89.3 KSBJ Houston and the “Way-FM” network along with Spanish Christian “Vida Unida“, is acquiring the Contemporary Worship “Worship 24/7” network from 247 Media Ministries.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but is expected to close in early Fall following FCC approval as the deal includes the network’s station and translator licenses. The two organizations have partnered since 2023 with Worship 24/7 leasing Hope Media Group’s 96.3 KKWA West Linn/Portland OR followed by adding feeds on Hope’s HD subchannels and translators in markets including Dallas, Houston, West Palm Beach and Evansville. The network itself operates stations in Tacoma and Spokane WA, Bend OR, Amarillo TX, Ottumwa and Sioux City IA, and Columbus GA.
Through the deal, Worship 24/7 will be added to Hope Media Group’s HD subchannels in Denver, Miami, Nashville and New York as well as the KSBJ and WayFM apps.
Hope Media Group CEO Joe Paulo said, “We’ve seen firsthand how Worship 24/7 fills a hunger for authentic worship in so many people, igniting a deeper passion for God. Combining our ministry efforts makes perfect sense and is an exciting step forward for our Hope Media Group mission. With the powerful atmosphere Worship 24/7 creates daily for its audiences, I know that together we’ll amplify our impact and expand in ways that wouldn’t be possible alone. When we began our partnership, we hoped this is where God would lead it. Now He has, and I could not be more enthusiastic about it.”
Worship 24/7 founder and President David Harms commented, “Six years ago, Worship 24/7 was an idea in a PowerPoint presentation, and by God’s grace it has grown to 15 FM signals and online listenership in more than 215 countries and territories. Our partnership with Hope Media Group over the last two years has been strong already, and now by coming into the HMG family, Worship 24/7 can keep pace with the rapidly changing media landscape and more effectively spread the hope of Jesus to a world desperately in need of a Savior.”
