After stunting over the July 4 weekend with patriotic music, Lakeland Media has flipped its recently acquired 93.5 KSCR-FM Benson MN from Classic Hits to Classic Country “93.5 Country Legends“.
The new format replicates that of co-owned “Big Country 100.1” KOLV Olivia/Willmar morning host Bob Stevens moving over to KSCR-FM. Cluster Production Director Eric Greiger will host middays and veteran market programmer and personality Rob Ryan anchors afternooons.
Lakeland Media, a 50/50 partnership of John David Linder’s Linder Media LLC and Lynn Ketelsen’s Ketelsen Media LLC, purchased KSCR-FM, 1290 KBMO/103.5 K278CX Benson, and Classic Rock “94.1 The Loon” KKLN Atwater/Willmar earlier this year for $200,000 from John Jennings’ Headwaters Media. The company also owns Classic Country “Big Country 100.1” KOLV Olivia, Hot AC “Q102” 102.5 KQIC Willmar, Classic Hits “106.5 The Train” KLFN Sunburg, and News/Talk 1340 KWLM/96.3 K242CF Willmar and 101.1 K266CM Sunburg.
