Jose Munoz’ Munoz Media is purchasing Regional Mexican “La Nueva 99.5” 1020 KMMQ Plattsmouth/99.5 K258DC Omaha NE from NRG Media for $400,000.
It will mark a return to the station for Munoz, who served as Program Director from 2007 to 2022. He most recently was Director of Operations for Flood Communications’ “Radio Lobo 97.7” KBBX-FM Nebraska City and Telemundo Nebraska. Munoz also has held roles as the Spanish language play-by-play voice for MLB’s Kansas City Royals from 2016-22 after holding the same role for the Omaha Storm Chasers from 2004-17.
NRG Media retains its six other stations in the Omaha market including Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ, Variety Hits “101.9 The Keg” KOOO, Hip Hop “Power 106.9” KOPW, News/Talk 1290 KOIL, and Sports duo “1620 The Zone” KOZN and “1180 The Zone” KZOT.
