As Radio Training Network prepares to close on its $4.25 million purchase of 98.3 WWRZ Fort Meade/Lakeland FL. Hall Communications is moving Variety Hits “Max” to a pair of translators in the market on October 1.
“Max” will replace “Fox Sports Lakeland” on 1230 WONN/107.1 W296CS Lakeland and add 95.9 W240DB Lakeland, which Hall is in the process of purchasing from Radio Training Network for $225,000. The station has been operating jockless since the exits of morning hosts Eric Michaels and Mike Lee at the start of this year.
WWRZ will join Radio Training Network’s “The Joy FM” Christian AC network to fill in a coverage gap between 91.5 WCIE New Port Richey/Tampa and 98.1 WNUE-FM Deltona/Orlando.
