Format wheels are spinning in Springfield MO as Mid-West Family Broadcasting is beginning changes at two of its stations.
Rock “Q102” 102.1 KQRA Brookline has moved to 92.9 replacing CHR “92.9 The Beat” KOSP Ozark. The move ups the Rock brand from its former Class A signal to the Class C2 92.9 signal that also extends its coverage into Branson.
MWFB Springfield General Manager Brian Tyndall stated, “Q102 has consistently performed as a top 5 station, even on a signal that was mainly limited to the Springfield metro area. On the new 92.9 dial position, Q will now be heard in over a dozen more Ozarks counties.”
KQRA will continue to feature the Lex & Terry Morning Show and local hosts Uli Gulje, Randy Crews, and Leslie Tucker the remainder of the day. KQRA had a 3.5 share in the Spring 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings, while KOSP had a 2.2 share. The move leaves SummitMedia’s “Power 96.5” KSPW as the only CHR in Springfield.
Mid-West Family Broadcasting also owns Classic Rock “104.7 The Cave” KKLH and Classic Country “105.1 The Bull” KOMG in the Springfield market.
