In addition to the return of Joe Cicero and Tina Bree to mornings at Connoisseur Media Hot AC “Star 105.5” WZSR Woodstock, Connoisseur Media is rolling out new lineups on WZSR and sister “Star 96.7” WSSR Joliet starting Monday, November 3.
Chicago area veteran Eddie Volkman will move from afternoons on both signals to return to mornings on WSSR. Volkman is best known for his long run in mornings at CHR “B96” WBBM-FM Chicago from 1986 to 2008 mostly alongside Joe ‘JoBo’ Bohannon. He has also hosted mornings at Classic Hits “104.3 K-Hits” WJMK Chicago, Classic Rock “103.9 The Fox” WFXF Dundee IL, and has spent time at Talk WLS Chicago. He joined WSSR in 2019 as Program Director and afternoon host and previously hosted mornings in 2022-23.
Volkman said, ““I’m thrilled to be back in the morning drive where I spent so many years in my career! It just feels natural. With the acquisition of our company by Connoisseur Media, you can feel the energy and enthusiasm everywhere in the station. We’re going to do radio the best way I know how… live, interactive, and local. I’m honored that I get to jumpstart the station every day!”
Jillian Dugan, who hosts middays on WSSR, will also add that daypart on WZSR succeeding Ron Mrowiec. She will also contribute to Volkman’s morning show.
Hannah Brummer will move from nights on both stations up to afternoons. Brummer has held multiple roles in the cluster since joining in 2021 from promotions at Audacy Chicago including co-hosting afternoons with Volkman and currently is heard in middays on “Free Country Chicago” 98.3 WCCQ Crest Hill/102.3 WXLC Waukegan.
Skyview Networks’ “XYZ with Erik Zachary” will return to nights after a ten month run in mornings on both stations.
