Longtime Syracuse NY personality Rick Gary has exited mornings at Galaxy Media Classic Hits “Sunny 102” WZUN Phoenix/Syracuse NY.
Gary first arrived in Syracuse at 1490 WOLF in 1968 eventually having four stints at the station in-between stints in Memphis and Boston. He later hosted mornings at 570 WSYR and 94.5 WYYY and also spent over two decades as weatherman and later morning anchor and talk host at WSYR-TV. He would join WZUN as afternoon host in 2007 and also was heard on their AC “Mix 102.5” WUMX Utica.
Wolf was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2009 and WZUN dedicated its studio in his honor in 2024.
