Just four months after moving to mornings at Beasley Media Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ Las Vegas, Shawn Tempesta has exited the station.
In a statement Tempesta commented, “Throughout the last three and a half years with the company, I helped launch 102.7 VGS and took it from 20th to 1st in mornings in less than a year, helped KKLZ successfully transition after the departure of the legendary Mike O’Brian, created thousands of social media videos, and designed and implemented digital video systems for several stations throughout the company – including 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston – that continue to generate tens of millions of views and bring in significant new-found revenue. Here’s to what’s next!”
Tempesta had joined KKLZ in November after Beasley eliminated the morning show he hosted with Aimee Thomas in November as part of a frequency swap. He and Thomas had debuted in mornings on then Hot AC “102.7 VGS” KVGS in June 2022 following a ten year run as APD/afternoon host at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB. He previously worked at KMXB in 2006-07, and also co-hosted KTNV-TV Las Vegas’ “The Morning Blend” from 2010-22 along with tracking middays at AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX Boston from 2020 until exiting Audacy at the end of 2021.

Carla Rea and producer Christopher ‘Morty’ Sampaio remain in mornings at KKLZ.
