In addition to morning host Paul Marshall, Myki Angeline has also exited Audacy Rock “98 Rock” KRXQ Sacramento.
Angeline joined KRXQ as a producer and weekend host in 2020 before rising to middays in March 2023 and most recently was heard in nights.
As part of a longer message, Angeline wrote, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s a turn of the page in the book of life. Six years ago if you would have told me that on November 18, 2020, I would be given the chance of a lifetime to work on the legacy rock station in Sacramento, I would not have believed you. I started out as the board operator for the RAD show on @sacs98rock right in the middle of the pandemic… in the old building on Madison Ave! With the legendary @patmartinart as my friend and mentor, I became an on-air host in less than 5 months. If you stayed up late enough, you heard my voice overnight on the weekends. Less than 2 years after that, I took over middays, when Pat Martin moved to mornings on @theeaglesacramento 🎙🎶 with my last year here taking over your night time airwaves! And, the 916 rock community embraced me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. You all welcomed a female, queer Filipina with arms opened wide, making my time on-air with 98 Rock a kick ass experience. We high-fived and hugged at every event. You cheered me during every onstage announcement, and flooded the phone and text line with support and love. Please know I am forever grateful for all of my Myki’s Crüe!”
