Friends of MVYRadio AAA “MVY Radio” 88.7 WMVY Edgartown MA/96.5 W243AI Newport RI has promoted Aurora McGuckin to Music Director.

McGuckin joined WMVY as an intern in 2023 and has held multiple roles including Membership Director and holding programming and on-air duties. She currently hosts Saturday nights every other week and began taking music calls in early 2025.

Executive Director PJ Finn said, “When former Music Director Jess Phaneuf left MVY in 2022, her duties were spread out among several staffers, but for Industry purposes I have been listed as our Music Director. Aurora is smart, capable, has good ears, and is the right person to be in our MD chair going forward.”
