Clear Channel Sports 620 WDAE Tampa is now available of the FM band.
The Radio Training Network owned translator, W237CW Pinellas Park operates with 250 watts from the tower of 95.7 WBTP covering most of St. Petersburg and western Tampa. WDAE is the local flagship for MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays and co-flagship of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The move gives WDAE an FM signal in parts of the market to match CBS’ “98.7 The Fan” WHFS-FM Holmes Beach. WDAE has held a lead on the new upstart with a 1.8 share to 98.7’s 0.8 in the March PPM monthlies.
