Original Report 10/15: Alpha Media continues to be busy on the format change front this week.
Active Rock “102.3 Max-FM” WDQX Morton/Peoria will flip to CHR “Energy 102.3” on Thursday, October 16 at 9:00am. The new format will give Peoria its third CHR as it joins Advanced Media Partners “98.5 Kiss-FM” WPIA and Cumulus’ Rhythmic CHR “Power 92.3” WZPW.
In making the announcement, Max-FM afternoon host Mike ‘Stech’ Stechman stated he will move to nights on sister Classic Hits “93.3 The Drive” WPBG.
They must have spent a lot of time listening to Energy 106.9 in Milwaukee because it sounds basically the same.
