One of only two facilities licensed to operate on 87.9 is seeking to move. Mountain View Public Broadcasting’s pending acquisition of 87.9 KSFH Mountain View, CA seeks to move to 100.7 due to “operational challenges faced on this channel, which is outside the normally used
FM broadcast band”. The Class D signal intends to operate with 10 watts at -44 meters (Coverage Map). KSFH originally operated on 90.5 and 88.1 prior to moving to 87.9 in 1999. If granted, the move will leave Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls’ K200AA Sun Valley/Reno, NV as the only broadcast facility licensed on 87.9.

Kevin Youngers has been granted a CP for 93.7 W229CG Cleveland, OH. W229CG will operate with 27 watts at 51 meters rebroadcasting EMF Broadcasting’s 89.3 KLOV Winchester, OR (Coverage Map).

Translator Moves

Impact Radio’s pending acquisition of 102.3 K272FL Eagle/Boise, ID applies to relocate to 101.7 with 99 watts at 777 meters rebroadcasting soon-to-be sister 101.9 KQBL Emmett (Coverage Map). With both signals covering the same area, a second move to move K272FL off of the first adjacent KQBL’s signal is inevitable.

Lazer Broadcasting’s acquisition of 102.1 K271CA Oxnard, CA applies to increase to 250 watts at -7 meters rebroadcasting Lazer’s “La Mexicana 910” KOXR Oxnard (Coverage Map).

Royce International is seeking modifications to two of its translators in the Palm Springs area. 95.5 K238AK Palm Desert will operate with 22 watts at 197 meters (Coverage Map). The CP for 98.1 K251BX Indio seeks to move to Palm Desert with 50 watts at 197 meters (Coverage Map). K238AK will rebroadcast the primary signal of CHR 97.7 KRCK-FM Mecca, while K251BX will rebroadcast the HD2.

Hall Communications pending acquisition of 107.1 W296CS Lakeland, FL applies to increase to 250 watts at 131 meters rebroadcasting 98.3 WWRZ-HD2 Fort Meade (Coverage Map).

University of Oregon’s silent 97.3 K247CE Myrtle Creek, OR seeks to move to 97.9 in Roseburg with 250 watts at 162 meters rebroadcasting Southern Oregon University’s Public News/Talk 950 KTBR Roseburg (Coverage Map).
