Radio Station Translator Sale Construction Permit FunAsia 1110 104.9 KZMP 700 KHSE 1520 WTRI 1460 WXBR BrocktonMark Jorgenson’s ACM Dallas agreed to purchase 700 KHSE Wylie and 990 KFCD Farmersville, TX last month for $450,000. Before even closing on that acquisition, ACM Dallas has agreed to transfer KHSE to Hammond Broadcasting for $1.5 million. KHSE will join a Hammond group that also includes 1110 KVTT Mineral Wells and the operation of Liberman Broadcasting’s 104.9 KZMP-FM Pilot Point, TX. Both stations broadcast as South Asian “FunAsia Radio“.

On the western fringes of the Washington, DC market, 1520 Radio Asia LLC is acquiring 1520 WTRI Brunswick, MD out of bankruptcy receivership controlled by Roger Rafson for $275,000. The buyer also incurred all costs necessary to restore WTRI to the air before its license was due to be cancelled on April 15 for being dark for one year. The buyers also own South Asian “Radio Asia” 1310 WXMC Parsippany, NJ, which is also heard on 103.3 WPRB-HD2 Princeton, NJ.

In the Boston suburbs, Azure Media sells Haitian “Radio Azure” 1460 WXBR Brockton to Ed Perry’s Marshfield Broadcasting Company for $165,000. Perry, who owns Full Service 95.9 WATD-FM Marshfield, intends to launch a similar format on WXBR.

Iglesia Pentecostal Visperia Del Fin is acquiring Silent 1490 KBRO Bremerton, 1480 KNTB Lakewood/92.1 K221FJ Tacoma and 1280 KLDY Lacey/Olympia from Seattle Streaming Media for $600,000. The buyer will need to completely rebuild KNTB, after the landowner declined to renew the station’s lease and removed the station’s towers. The stations were previously the market’s ESPN Deportes Radio affiliates.

Educational Media Foundation is acquiring 89.7 WAUQ Charles City/Richmond, VA from American Family Association for $1.25 million. As part of the deal, EMF will lease their HD3 subchannels on 94.9 WKVF Bartlett/Memphis, TN, 107.1 WLAI Wilmore/Lexington, KY, and 103.5 WHVK New Hope/Huntsville, AL to AFA for $350 month each as well as assist AFA in getting a lease of 107.9 WMRK-HD2 Shorter/Montgomery, AL from Alexander Broadcasting for $500 per month.

Community Broadcasting is selling two Illinois translators to affiliates of Bud Walter’s Cromwell Group for $30,000. Cromwell will add 96.5 W243DI Effingham and 106.3 W292EO Decatur. The deal is contingent on future applications to relocate the translators to towers owned by Cromwell.

The Power Foundation adds 91.3 WWDL Plainfield and the CPs for 98.3 W252CY Anderson, 102.1 W271BY Pendleton, 103.7 W279CF Muncie, IN from Horizon Christian Fellowship for $140,000. Power will begin operate WWDL via a Public Service Operating Agreement on June 1.

SSR Communications is swapping the CP for 105.5 KIMW Heffin, LA to Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls for 96.9 W245AH Ridgeland/Jackson, MS. SSR owns Conservative Talk 103.9 WYAB Pocahontas, MS in the Jackson market and is in the process of relocating 103.5 K278CF Tallulah, LA to Jackson.

Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls also purchases 88.9 KNGW Juneau, AK from Life On The Way Communications for $25,000.

Go Productions LLC acquires News/Talk 1230 KLWT and Country “107.9 The Coyote” KCLQ Lebanon, MO from Pearson Broadcasting of Lebanon for $650,000.

As part of the merger between Tennessee Temple University and Piedmont International University, Christian Preaching 980 WDYN Rossville, GA and 94.9 W235AO Chattanooga, TN will be transferred from the former to the latter.

Tehama County Community Broadcasters sells 90.7 KTHM Red Bluff/Redding, CA to Alta California Community Media for $1. The buyer intends to increase the local community programming on the station.
