Neversink Media completed its relaunch of 1340 WALL Middletown NY and three translators serving the Hudson Valley this morning.
After acquiring WALL in a swap with Townsquare Media for a translator earlier this year, the station relaunched this morning with Classic Hits positioned as “Orange County & The Hudson Valley’s Hometown Station”. The station is also heard on 94.1 W231BP Chester/Newburgh, 94.9 W235BI Middletown, and 105.7 W289BE Ellenville, which are all fed from Townsquare’s 101.5 WPDH-HD2 Poughkeepsie. WALL and former sister 1390 WEOK Poughkeepsie had been programmed with Oldies until earlier this year.
Longtime Hudson Valley personality Mark West will host mornings for the station with Jim Frey in afternoons. The stations had been temporarily simulcasting sister “Pocono 96.7” WABT Lehman Township/Stroudsburg PA.
