Is the change finally taking place? Plus potential changes in Northern Colorado, Palm Springs, and more. Back on June 16 , the then Alpha Media owned 102.7 KJXK replaced its " Jack-FM " logo on social media with the one shown above and redirected its stream to the iHeartRadio player for its stream. However no changes took place on-air and by July 2, the Jack-FM logo and the website returned. Until Friday that was when the new logo returned on social media and a registration was made for SanAntonio1027.com . Should a change occur, KJXK would become the second of six Jack's inherited by Connoisseur to drop the brand after WGTZ Dayton returned to its heritage " Z93 " identity in October. Townsquare Media has registered multiple domains for Hip Hop " Power 102.9 " KARS-FM Laramie WY/Fort Collins CO with 1029COTalk.com , 1029NoCoBeat.com , 1029NocoMix.com , and 1029TheFanFM.com . The last one sticks out as Townsquare recently flipped multiple stations in Michigan to a simulcast of Audacy's " 97.1 The Ticket " WXYT-FM Detroit, Could a similar network be launched with Bonneville's " 104.3 The Fan " KKFN-FM Denver? Looking at the other possible brands, Beat would be a rebrand of a station that already has a 0.0 share in the Spring Nielsen Audio ratings . Talk would compete with iHeartMedia's 600 KCOL , which had a 1.7 share. While there is no locally originating AC in the market, " Mix " would appear to be a tight fit between Townsquare's duo of Hot AC " 99.9 The Point " KKPL and Classic Hits " Retro 102.5 " KTRR. KGAY PSP will be shuffling its stations in Palm Springs. They company has applied to the FCC to swap call letters on 92.1 KGAY-FM Thermal and 103.1 KMEE Palm Desert on December 26. Similarly the company has registered 1065Sunny.com and 1065SunnyFM.com . That will likely see LGBTQ+ Dance " KGAY " move from 92.1 and 106.5 K293CL Thousand Palms to 103.1, while the Soft Oldies format on what is now " 103.1 Me-TV FM " move in reverse while dropping the network for local origination. With RZ Radio's sale of Country 97.7 KTPI Mojave CA to K-Love Inc earlier this year awaiting closing, Point Broadcasting has registered 1069KTPI.com and KTPI1069.com hinting at a relocation of the brand to their currently silent 106.9 KMVE California City. Midwest Communications has registered Superhits979.com . The company has two stations on the frequency. News/Talk 1230 WIBQ /97.9 W250BZ is doubtful as the company already has Classic Hits on 102.7 WBOW . That makes AC 97.9 WEVE Hibbing MN the likely destination.
