Clear Channel has flipped “KFYI Business Channel” 1230 KOY Phoenix to Conservative Talk as “KFYI2“.
Billed as “The Next Generation Of Talk”, KFYI2 is built around younger hosts. The new lineup includes Armstrong & Getty in mornings based out of 650 KSTE Sacramento. Syndicated Dana Loesch will follow from 10am-1pm. Former “New Jersey 101.5” afternoon co-host Casey Bartholomew will host a local show from 1 to 3pm. The station’s website lists the syndicated “America Now” as airing from 3pm to 6pm, TMZ Live at 6pm, and Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis from 7-10pm.
Like its previous Business format, the new KFYI2 format on KOY is meant to be a brand extension of 550 KFYI. KOY had dropped its mix of Soft AC/Oldies in the daytime and Smooth Jazz at night for Business in August 2013.
