Way Media has announced a series of promotions across the Christian AC network operator’s stations.
89.7 KAWA Sanger/Dallas TX General Manager Tim Dukes has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer filling the position held by Lloyd Parker from 2005 until his exit in January. Dukes joined Way Media in 2015 and added oversight of the group’s stations in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Alabama last year. Dukes worked on-air at WYHY Nashville and WFLZ Tampa, programmed WEBN Cincinnati and WLUP Chicago, and served as Director of FM Programming for Jacor San Diego, Regional VP/Programming for Clear Channel Atlanta, and Director of Operations for NextMedia’s suburban Chicago stations in his secular radio career. He also was VP/Marketing for Tribune Interactive and COO of The Halftime Institute before joining Way Media.
The group has also promoted Southeast Regional Manager and WAYF/West Palm Beach GM Jim Marshall to VP/Broadcast Operations managing the company’s local markets. Marshall has been with Way Media since 2005 and previously has worked at WMBI Chicago and WMHK Columbia/WRCM Charlotte.
Way Media Director of Finance Marsha Klimetz is now VP/Administration adding Human Resources management to her duties.
Colorado Springs-based Way Media has announced a series of promotions at the Christian content ministry. President/CEO John Scaggs shared, “We’ve spent the last few months setting new priorities and goals, as well as restructuring our executive leadership team to meet these challenges.
Tim Dukes is assuming the Chief Operating Officer role. He joined Way Media in 2015 as General Manager of KAWA/Dallas-Fort Worth, and in January 2019 added oversight of their stations in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Alabama. He will continue to be Dallas-based. Prior to WayFM, he spent 24 years with Jacor, Clear Channel Radio, Emmis Communications, and Tribune Interactive.
15 year Way Media Southeast Regional Manager and WAYF/West Palm Beach GM Jim Marshall rises to become VP/Broadcast Operations and will lead WayFM’s local market efforts across the country. He previously spent more than 11 years at WMBI/Chicago, and 8 years as Director of Broadcasting with Columbia International University (WMHK/Columbia and WRCM/Charlotte).
And longtime Way Media Director of Finance Marsha Klimetz is now VP/Administration, adding Human Resources to her responsibilities.
Additionally, Faron Dice continues as Chief Content Officer with management of on-air and digital efforts, as well as branding and marketing. BJ O’Neal’s oversight of donor and underwriting programs continues as Chief Development Officer, and technology remains under Chief Technology Officer Dean Sims.
