While Red Apple Media began operating 107.1 WLIR-FM Hampton Bays NY on Wednesday, the station will not be a 24/7 simulcast with their Conservative Talk 770 WABC New York after all.
As Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade Show already airs in Eastern Long Island on JVC Media’s “LI News Radio” 103.9 WRCN Riverhead, WLIR-FM will instead carry a local two hour show from 10am-12pm hosted by Frank Morano. Morano joins Red Apple Media from Salem’s “970 The Answer” WNYM Hackensack NJ where he served as a producer for Joe Piscopo’s morning show and hosted a Sunday morning show. Morano also produced the syndicated show hosted by now WABC owner John Catsimatidis. He previously worked at WABC as producer for Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby’s morning show in the mid 2000s.
