Lone Star Sports 920 El Paso Goes Dark

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
September 19, 2022

Lone Star Sports Radio 920 KQBU El PasoGrupo Radio Centro Sports “Lone Star Sports 920” KQBU El Paso TX has ceased operations.

KQBU has carried CBS Sports Radio programming and Houston Texans football since launching its Sports brand in September 2018. In its filing with the FCC, Grupo Radio Centro notes that operations of the station is not currently possible as it has lost the station’s tower site and is making plans to relocate. KQBU had been operating at just 150 watts since May under an STA that stated they were working on rebuilding the tower.
