Bonneville Media and the Seattle Mariners have agreed to a multi-year contract extension to keep the franchise’s broadcasts on “Seattle Sports 710” KIRO Seattle.
KIRO has been home for the Mariners game broadcasts since 2009 after a previous rum carrying the games from 1985 to 2002. Games will also be streamed on KIRO’s “Seattle Sports” app across the franchise’s broadcast region in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia. The broadcasts will also feature pre and post-game shows, Trident Talk on Sundays during the season, The Hot Stove Show in the winter, and the Cactus League Report during spring training.
Mariners President of Business Operations said, “We are pleased to extend our agreement with Bonneville to keep Seattle Sports as the Mariners broadcast home. Bonneville has been a valued partner of the Mariners for over three decades, broadcasting our games across the region and sharing in our continued effort to bring Mariners baseball to our fans with compelling content across traditional and emerging platforms.”
Bonneville Seattle VP/Market Manager Cathy Cangiano said, “We’re thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with the Seattle Mariners. At Bonneville, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative, and entertaining local content. Renewing our partnership with the Mariners is a natural fit.”
KIRO Program Director Kyle Brown commented, “We’re happy to offer Mariners audio content to our fans, both on-air and through the Seattle Sports app. Our aim is to make it simple and convenient for you to listen to Mariners programming no matter where you are in the Pacific Northwest.”
