Saga Communications Country “Beaver 100.3” WVVR Hopkinsville KY/Clarksville TN has appointed Dave Russell as Program Director and morning host.

Russell most recently served as afternoon host at Treese Media Group News/Talk 830 WEEU Reading PA. He has spent the majority of his career in Central Pennsylvania starting with an eleven year run at 910 WSBA York PA from 1988 to 1999 where he would rise to APD and Promotions Director. After programming WEZQ Bangor ME and then WCTO and WLEV Allentown PA, he would join AC 103.3 WARM-FM York as PD in 2007 while also spending time as afternoon host and morning co-host through 2009 followed by another stint as PD/afternoon host from 2015 to 2024. He also programmed Forever Media Oldies “The Pickle” WPKL/WKPL in suburban Pittsburgh from 2011 until rejoining WARM-FM.

Russell will join Monica Reed in mornings filling the position previously held by Chad Heritage until early February. He will also program Classic Country “100.7 The Outlaw” W264CK/WCVQ-HD3.

He commented, “You never know where life is going to take you. When the opportunity presented itself to join 5 Star Media and Beaver 100.3, I jumped at the opportunity. My mission to find the best barbecue in Clarksville has begun.”

Operations Manager Ryan Ploeckelman added, “Dave is an incredible programming talent and excellent on-air talent. He and Monica are going to have a great show that will have listeners feeling good every weekday morning.”
