CINA Media Group relaunched Hip Hop “Flow 98.7” CKFG-FM Toronto today.
The station has returned to the version of the logo used by the former “Flow 93.5” CFXJ-FM from its launch in 2001 until 2011. CKFG-FM had inherited CFXJ-FM’s branding in February 2022. Former CFXJ-FM morning host and mixer Peter Kash has joined the station as Program Director and afternoon host. Kash most recently hosted mornings at “104.9 Virgin Radio” CFMG-FM Edmonton until exiting in January to return to Toronto. Kash will also relaunch his “The Traffic Flow Mixshow” at 5pm weekdays.
Previous afternoon host Robert ‘Spex Da Boss’ Lloyd will move to mornings with ‘Patricia J’ Jaggernauth. Spex has been with CKFG-FM since 2011 after previously working at CFXJ-FM from its launch in 2001 until 2010. Jaggernauth began her career as an intern at CFXJ-FM, but has worked in television stints with time at CP24, E!, and multiple other TV and digital platforms.
Assistant Music Director at weekend host Celebrity Dru will host nights.
With the changes, former morning hosts Alicia ‘Ace’ West and Marlon Palmer have exited. The duo had hosted mornings at CKFG-FM since January 2024. Palmer’s “Extra Gravy” podcast will air on the stations on Saturdays at 11am.
