iHeartMedia Country “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta has announced the arrival of Ashley Layfield as its new Program Director and Corey Calhoun as afternoon host.
Layfield joins WUBL from iHeart’s “US 103.5” WFUS Tampa where she has programmed the station since November 2022 and will continue to do so. Previously known as Ashley Morrison, she previously held roles as APD/MD/morning co-host at Cox Country “K92.3” WWKA Orlando. She began her career at Cox Jacksonville in 2010 as a promotions assistant and morning show producer at CHR 95.1 WAPE. She spent a year at CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI until moving to Orlando in 2012 and rising to morning co-host in September 2013 and later adding the MD and APD roles.

Calhoun returns to his native Atlanta from the MD/night host role at iHeart’s 98.7 WMZQ Washington DC. He joined WMZQ in June 2018 after three years as APD of sister Country 97.5 WAMZ Louisville where he spent time first in afternoons and then mornings. Calhoun began his career in Top 40 where he began as an intern at WWWQ Atlanta and later worked in Ithaca NY and programmed iHeart’s duo of Country 102.5 WYNR and CHR “103Q” WQGA Brunswick GA and Cumulus CHR “Hot 102” WLTO Lexington KY.
He stated, “I started my radio career in Atlanta, so the opportunity to return with 94.9 The Bull truly feels like a full-circle moment. Nothing compares to coming home, and it makes it even more special that I’m joining this incredible team in what is a dream job for me.”
