Hutton Broadcasting has announced the promotion of Art Trujillo to VP/Regional Manager for the company’s fifteen station in New Mexico and Southwest Colorado.
Trujillo has been with Hutton since 2020 as Vice President of Sales after holding sales roles at the Santa Fe New Mexican and Albuquerque Journal newspapers. In his newly established role, he will be responsible for the day-to-day operating performance of the company. The company adds that during the next several months he will work closely with employees and managers across the company’s markets to evaluate operations, identify growth opportunities, and develop recommendations regarding the company’s future organizational and operating structure.
Trujillo said, “I’m excited to lead a company with local roots, strong local brands and talented people in the communities it serves. My first priority will be to learn, listen and work alongside the Hutton Broadcasting team to identify opportunities for sustainable growth and new ideas. Scott has been a great mentor during my tenure with Hutton Broadcasting and look forward to the new opportunity.”
Owner Scott Hutton added, “Hutton Broadcasting has grown significantly, both geographically and in the number of media services we provide. As the company continues to evolve, we need an executive leadership structure that can support that growth while maintaining the local focus and entrepreneurial culture that have always defined Hutton Broadcasting. Art brings the leadership experience, business judgment, and ability to develop people that we believe will help take Hutton Broadcasting into its next chapter. This role is about creating greater accountability, stronger communication, and better coordination across our markets and media platforms while continuing to invest in our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve.”
