Update 8/27: WRCN has shifted from Classic Rock to Mainstream Rock focusing on music from the past 25 years. New branding of “Everything That Rocks” in place. The first song after change was Metallica’s Master of Puppets.

Original Report 8/24: While we await whether Connoisseur Media’s 94.3 WIGX Long Island will drop Gen X Hits for Rock, JVC Media’s Classic Rock 103.9 WRCN is counting down to a revamp.
After going jockless earlier in the week, the station running hourly sweepers teasing the evolution of the station coming Monday, August 27 at 12:00pm. The station will be staying in the Rock genre as its new morning show has made its existence known.

“The Real Radio Show” debuting on September 4 will feature Frankie Dee, Henry K, and AJ Pero of Twisted Sister. The show had been airing on the station on Saturday nights.
