Just a few weeks after returning to radio via SiriusXM, Art Bell is departing his show.
Bell discussed on his last show that he was unhappy with Sirius’ mobile streaming and wanted permission to stream his show on his site for free. That goes against SiriusXM’s business model and had no chance of being accepted.
In response, Bell posted on Facebook today,
Sometimes when you are “all in” you win, sometimes lose.
By mutual agreement, Dark Matter will no longer air as of tonight.
That Facebook page has since been deleted as well.

Bell began airing on SiriusXM’s “Indie 104” channel on September 16.
Wonder if there’s room for him and Cumulus/Westwood One or even TRN?
